He sits by a river and waits What does he contemplate? Still but running deep What secrets does he keep? Life is all around But doesn’t make a sound Can he hear the trees? Whisper to the breeze? Does he see two fish? Catch a fleeting kiss? Trapped inside his net Slippery and wet. Does he feel the warm? Of the approaching dawn? Is all that it seems? Painted in my dreams?
