adding planted and last tended dates to pages in my digital garden
Why
I already have 'This page last updated: β¦' at the bottom of every page.
But I'd prefer it right at the top. Not too prominent/distracting, but I have some pretty old pages knocking around now and I'd like people to be aware that they might be outdated.
How
I have ctimes and mtimes on all files I believe. (That's from an extra package that I installed, right?)
So in theory I can use those.
It's a matter of (a) pulling them out and (b) being able to render them.
Pulling times out
I'm currently using just the date value that you get from :with-date. So I won't be able to get last modified in the same way.
I have custom properties I have named ctime and mtime. Possibly these are in the info plist that's passed in the org-html-template?
Rendering them
So the rendering is going to be somewhere in my somewhat sprawling publish.el - or at least that's where to start thinking about it.
I think I would put it in my override of org-html-template
(of which I have a note to self saying that I shouldn't really be overriding itβ¦)
