Archaeplastida

• Original [[eukaryotic]] phototrophe, first to take in a [[cyanobacterium]] as an organelle
• Two lineages:
  • [[Rhodoyhpta]]: Adapted to deeper water by having pigments more absorbant of blues
  • [[Viridaeplantae]]: Includes the bulk of the Archaeplastida, including the [[Chlorophyta]] and the [[Streptophyta]]
