In the German Revolutionas well as the 1917 October Revolution [[file:20200707205517-soviet_workers_council.org][workers' councils]] played a decisive role. The actual revolutions themselves were largely organized on the ground by councils of workers. For the purposes of overthrowing capitalism, perhaps it's worth organizing in such councils.
