The first step I take Above the ground Is the one which leaves me Lost, I’ve found.

Through ropes and knots I am secured Through such connections I’m reassured.

The man above Defines our route And furnishes it with Poisonous fruit.

I don’t look down. I don’t look up. I just feel for my next move Til I reach the top.

I place my trust In the man on high His choices and strength May save my life.

And when I sit there By his side I feel a gratefulness and pride.
