I have two ideas (other than teach the world to think and act systemically~) that would change the world:

  • Pull the plug (no electric); and
  • Smash the mirror (no ego).

In this video James Burke explores what happens when the plug was unintentionally pulled in New York in 1965.

It demonstrates the hypoconnectivity of the system. and the dangers of such interdependence without understanding of the choice we have made and the alternative options.

Marc describes certain organisations being in the intensive care unit at a hospital...but when I see this video I ask myself, aren't we all?

I remember arranging a reunion dinner for my old management team at a restaurant in London. I didn't know where the restaurant was located. Also, I didn't have a smartphone so I used my tongue and asked people the way. I was there 30 mins before anyone else as they all followed their smartphone!

Libby used to make this point to me about the way we are losing the basic skills. Hence her desire to retain these skills in a [[Fell Pony Heritage Centre]] - a living museum to keep the skills alive and share them with children.

What other ways can we ensure these skills are retained in our youth?
