in 📚 node [[ochs-sys-1]]
Content: Creating a Simple Systems Map (I1/I2) Marc's mapping exercise See [[Systems Certification]]
For examples see [[Kid's Mind Maps]]
Intention:
- To enable students to see that they are already systems thinkers
- To identify a system of focus (something they want to see change)
Materials: Pens, Paper, Post its, Whiteboard?
Questions:
- Should this be an individual exercise or a team?
- Should the focus be open or directed? eg Think of something in your community that you value/ you'd like to change/ a problem you've noticed.
- Should it be very directed eg create a mission statement for your community.
- This can be tee'd up at the end of week 1. They can be directed to talk to their family and friends about this.
Risks and mitigation: xxxx See [[Observations SyS 1]] for captured points during session.
This became am exercise in understanding what utopia would look like and then identifying gaps....They then clustered ideas to create project pods.
