M. Let's test using this page for notes. Understanding that it is public. And we can erase older stuff as it become less relevant. We can just keep forking it back and forth. This is the FIRST NOTE.
M. I like [[Your Cat]] poem.
K. Yes. Great idea to use this page. Glad you like "Your Cat".
k. I like your [[Keeper]] poem
M. I gave Keeper its own page and refined it a little more. I think that I resist structure, retaining as much choice as possible without losing all meaning.
M. I just listened to your [[Climate Change]] talk on Sys Dyn. Your way of being complemented the content perfectly.
K. Thank you. I've forked the keeper. It's beautiful. Free to talk later?
M. Any chance that the [[Wombwell Women]] can all have FedWiki pages early on. Then I can watch it all unfold.
M. Looks nicer to use [url name] form rather than raw urls as in [[Covid Dynamics]].
K: Sure for WW group if I can convince them. Still in recruitment phase.
K: How do I use the [url name]?
K: When to do a Vensim teach in session for Marc? -M: I got Vensim running in Windows and built the raw pieces from the [[Adverse Childhood Events]] page. K: Great news! Well done. Let's talk!
K: Present at this conference? http://www.confercare.manchester.ac.uk/events/degrowth2020/
K: Discuss how to move forward on book idea re Conversations -M: I will make a stab at an introduction, a kind of [[Pattern]]. K: I like your introduction. We can also build a model of a conversation...Also my Riding Dynamics book is all about communication
K: Would JDG's strategy of a holomat of octologues create an ethical society (self regulation)?
K: John Raven http://www.johnraven.co.uk/
[https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s41660-020-00130-x?shared-article-renderer TEST]
K: I'd like to compare and talk about our AIC maps (Bill's AIC)
M: See [[A Walled City]]
M: I created [[Degrowth Conference]] and highlighted topics that are integral to my conception of neighborhood autonomy.
K: Are you aware of this [https://about.nextdoor.com/ Nextdoor app]. Thinking of using it to connect with some women here....But it looks like its in the USA too.
K: I'm thinking about the way fed.wiki pages appear when a link is sent to someone eg in linkedin. Its not "smart". Maybe something Ward and his team can address?
-M: I’m not sure what “smart” means. Show me next time we are on line together. The the wiki features only work when the Wiki is checked. And of course that is only stored in the browser unless you have your own site and fork the page to your own site where it can we written and saved. Maybe this is not what you mean though.
M: I like [[The Trees]]. When did you write it?
M: Is [[Take Any Two]] as clever as it seems? And thanks for sharing Neil Peart’s interview.
K: Yes I think it is. Have you read [http://csermelyblog.tehetsegpont.hu/sites/default/files/angol%20sir%C3%A1ly.pdf Jonathan Livingstone Seagull pdf]
K: Apparently my friend thinks Jonathan is me. I think he's you!
K: I got some good news this morning. The head teacher at my Oxford school is "in a frenzy of excitement" at the prospect of a DIG at her school! On y va! La jardin faut attendre... -M: So cool! Let's go! The garden must wait...
K: Maybe you could reuse your CoR fed.wiki presentation and create an abstract for the degrowth conference?
K: This is very powerful: Chapter 2 of Krishnamurthi's book "The right kind of education" [https://jkrishnamurti.org/content/chapter-2-right-kind-education here]. Let's talk about it...
K: The head teacher at the Oxford school I work with would like to start a fed.wiki. How can we help her?
M: Lots of good things happening. Makes me happy. If you get a free hour or two give this a go: [[Systems Certification]]. Maybe you can improve upon it and then get a friend or acquaintance to give it a go. Of course we can talk about what I am up to with this exercise. I am sure between us we can make it better. :>)
K: Yes I'm really happy too. I'll take a look at your Systems Certification...I love the first page
M: Question, did you originate [[A Way Forward]]?
K: Yes I did. In a moment of epiphany!
K: Re mental health of kids and impact of school: Tina, the headteacher in Oxford, shared [https://www.statesofmind.org/journal/2020/11/04/the-impact-of-school-on-students-mental-health.html this]. It is some research her brother recently published.
K: I've done my PANAS scoring. How do I interpret the result/ratios? -M (Fri-Feb-19-21): the scoring instructions are here [[PANAS 10]]. However a much more helpful place is here: [http://positivityratio.com/single.php Barbara Fredrickson's site] If you create a free account, she can use your deidentified data and you can track your response over time. Aggregate data not calculated until you have responded a few time. I found this amazingly useful. I think classes should all do this. What I am sure of is that individuals and groups with P/N affective ratios above 3 flourish and ones with ratios below 1 are doomed. It seems that when people are happy they are curious and everything else seems to take care of itself. Less debilitating outside intervention! I made a proposal to our school system. No dice. Dave Ford and I were going to make this the wellness focus for his healthcare insurance company, Care Oregon. Work still waiting to be done. No one makes money from happy healthy people. So sad, to live in a world where policy is based almost entirely on money, all other values relegated to "idealists".
K: I must introduce you to Steve Whitla at [https://www.visual-meaning.com/ Visual Meaning]. [http://meaning.guide/ Here] is a link to Steve's blog. He recently had a book published: [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Visualising-Business-Transformation-Pictures-Diagrams/dp/1138308242 See here]. And here are some videos: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42LPuruSaMs&feature=emb_logo video 1] and [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAFclNJ--Gs his Tedx talk]
-M (Fri-Feb-19-21): Thank you. I have listened to the videos and bought the book. After I have studied his insights, maybe there will be a reason for us to get to know one another. I am so happy to have some access to you world. It expands mine.
K Mon, Feb 22nd, 2021: Steve is a good guy. He walks the talk and is very interested in education.
M (Fri-Feb-19-21): Take a look at [[WHY?]]. I now would suggest the "10 Whys"
M (Fri-Feb-19-21): I find I would like to know the date and time of posts. I just installed [https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/time-stamper/hipeknijlebohncdfhcldmmooapmmmfc Time Stamper Chrome Extension] I modified the format. Key combination is control shift y. Probably not needed since sift hover over a paragraph and it highlights the additions in the record of changes and then hover over the highlighted icon and the time since change shows up.
K:Mon, Feb 22nd, 2021 Installed ;)
M (Sat-Feb-20-21): I would like to enlist Ward Cunningham's help in adding calculations and displays of results of PANAS results in FedWiki. I would prefer to develop the request with you.
K: Mon, Feb 22nd, 2021 - Sure. How can I help?
M: Kerry, do you know Dave Snowden’s work?
K: Mon, Feb 22nd, 2021 - Yes I am aware but only really his 4 box cynefin model. I talked to him a couple of times when I embarked on my education project. He talked about his kid's journalism project.
M: (Sun-Feb-21-21) One Feldenkrais lesson down. Loved, "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse." Thank you! Insightful gift.
K: Mon, Feb 22nd, 2021 : It's a work of art...very clear and memorable. A conversation between 4 friends <3. I'd better get on and finish the 1st lesson then...Can't have you getting too far ahead! Smile.
K: I love begin from nothing
