Autofs

• I use this to automount SD cards.
  • In /etc/auto.master: /media /etc/auto.removable --timeout=2,sync
  • In /etc/auto.removable: sd -fstype=vfat,uid=$my_user_id :/dev/mmcblk0p1
• As of [[2020-12-25]] this no longer works.
  • Instead I just use fstab and mount/unmount as needed:
  • 64gb
    • UUID=6139-3034 /mnt/sd exfat noauto,x-systemd.automount,uid=UID_HERE,user
  • 32gb
    • UUID=03BE-BBB1 /mnt/sd exfat noauto,x-systemd.automount,uid=UID_HERE,user
  • An alternative is to set up both systemd/udev rules, seems like hassle right now.
