# How I capture fleeting notes

If I'm at my computer, I capture with org-capture in [[Emacs]]. They go into an `Inbox` org file.

If I'm somewhere else, I capture into [[orgzly]] on my phone. Either using orgzly's quick note capture via the new note permanent notification, or via a share from another app (e.g. highlighted text).

These go into my `Inbox Mobile` org file.

I process those notebooks regularly.  Things that are 'things to do' I move to somewhere else in my org files. Fleeting notes that are relevant to my outer garden I move them to a `Fleeting notes` org file. This stops them clogging up my to<sub>do</sub> system.

Then  periodically I'll go through the fleeting notes file and process them.  I might add them to today's journal page, or straight into a reference note in the garden, or maybe even straight into a main note.
